Our Progress
Stewardship has come a long way since the development of Canada's Stewardship Agenda.
Canada's Stewardship Agenda (CSA) recognized that partnership and collaboration were key to success. This roadmap encouraged cooperation and the sharing of information between organizations and communities, which led to improved coordination and progress on many stewardship fronts.
Although the CSA was endorsed by the federal and provincial governments, it never received any direct investment. However, it has proven to be both an accurate forecast as well as a guide to the priorities the Stewardship Network has focused on.
In advance of the 2009 National Stewardship Conference: Strengthening Stewardship - Investing at Every Step, a detailed overview of the progress, lessons and continuing challenges arising from the CSA was presented.
